Sharing hope ministry and Patsy's place transitional home are non-profit. All of our funding comes from church support, donations, fundraisers, and non-governmental grants.
Can your church host a drive for house and hygiene items for the women that we serve? Perhaps a small group?
Here are some of the items we need and guidelines to follow, we hope you will consider giving hope by giving some basic needs such as these:
Sharing Hope Ministry and Patsy’s Place are blessed to receive donated items for use at our transitional home and for women as they graduate from Patsy’s Place. Following is a guideline of items that can be used.
Furniture and household items for Patsy’s Place graduates to set up a home. Dressers, beds, night stands, living room furniture. Small kitchen appliances, dishes, silverware, kitchen utensils, pots/pans.
Lotions, makeup, shampoos, conditioners, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrushes, combs, and soaps/body washes. Due to health and safety concerns only new, unopened items can be used.
All paper goods for both kitchen and bathroom.
Laundry detergent for HE machines.
Household cleaning supplies.
Underwear and socks.
Any decorations, knick-knacks, or pictures can be taken to the Downtown Women’s Center. Travel size lotions, shampoos, etc. can also be donated to The Salvation Army or Faith City Mission. These items are given to the homeless.
Another great thing to donate are cars! These provide Patsy's Place residents with an affordable vehicle as they transtion into the working world. Donors get a tax deduction in the amount of the vehicle's value.
