The Center for AdvancementThe Center for Advancement is an outreach ministry of Sharing Hope Ministry. We provide emergency food, clothing, and hygiene items for women that have been released from prison or jail. We also provide additional support by offering classes, recovery groups, and contact information for other local agencies women can turn to in a crisis situation.

Workforce Solutions Panhandle assists employers and job seekers throughout our 26 county region, and partners with the Texas Workforce Commission to provide the largest job-matching database in the State of Texas.
Provides job seekers with the information, training, and assistance needed to obtain and keep employment that leads to a living wage. Assistance for job seekers includes resume building, career development, and career exploration. Also aids job seekers with job training, work experience, or occupational training, as well as child care, for eligible individuals. |

HousingDowntown Women’s Center

Residents work or go to school; counseling is mandatory and is provided on-site. Faith City Mission Family Shelter 401 S.E. 2nd, 79101 (806) 373-6402 (Call between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.). Houses transients up to 14 days. Meals are served daily. Martha’s Home 1204 W. 18th, 79109 (806) 372-4035 Provides shelter, transportation, food, and clothing as well as information and referral for community resources.
