The Lucille and Leo Caiafa, Jr. Center for Advancement is an outreach program of Sharing Hope Ministry. It is a hub where women can access resources to assist in establishing a stable lifestyle and a positive support system.
We provide emergency food, clothing, and hygiene items for qualifying women in our community. Pantry/Closet hours are by appointment only. Call 806-358-7803 to see if you qualify.
Educational and life skills classes and workshops are available free of charge, including WOMEN ONLY GED classes and basic skills computer classes. We have a 12 station computer lab open for women for job searches and educational purposes. We also have information on other resources available to in our area. We hope to help women break the chains of incarceration, addiction, abuse and instead learn to live healthy, productive and Godly lives.

CALENDAR OF UPCOMING CLASSES AND EVENTS:
- Ongoing Women Only GED Classes – In partnership with Amarillo College. Instructor taught classes Tuesday and Thursday morning 9-11:30 am or Tuesday and Thursday evening 5:30-7:30 pm. Call for more information.
- Ongoing Basic Skills Computer Classes – In partnership with Goodwill Industries. This 7 week course includes fundamentals of computer function, Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outook), Internet usage, cyber-security and applying to jobs online. Every woman that completes the course is eligible to receive a free refurbished computer courtesy First Baptist Church’s Computer Ministry. Space is limited. Call to for more information.
- Nov 16 Control Club Captain – Join us as Lynae Jacob entertains us with song, wit and poignant testimony as she tells us how to control the chaos. “‘Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.’ Jesus calms my heart. And I love the way He holds me in the midst of chaos.” Registration begins Oct. 29th. Call for details.

"I don't have the time to volunteer, how else can I help?"You can help by donating basic needs supplies. Most recently released women are left with only the clothes on their back. By providing basic clothing, food, and hygiene items we are able to remove some obstacles so these women can focus on their next steps to stability.
